Offspring - Smash

The Offspring were one of a few bands to bring punk rock back into the mainstream in the mid 90's. They released their 3rd album "Smash" in 1994. Loaded with catchy radio friendly songs the album quickly became a mainstream success. With hit songs like "Come Out & Play", "Self-Esteem" and "Gotta Get Away" music fans instantly fell in love with this band. People who may have never even heard punk rock before were suddenly huge fans of this band.

The album consists of fast catchy punk songs which emotionally give every human being something that they can relate to. Going to an Offspring concert was complete mayhem from the mosh pit to the energy level of the band which was fed off of by the crowd. Singer Dexter Holland has a voice like no one else and can hit high notes like you have never heard before. Other awesome tracks include "Bad Habit", the ska influenced "What Happened to You?", "Nitro", "Genocide", "It'll Be a Long Time", "So Alone" and the title track "Smash". Of course this album wouldn't be complete without the opening and closing tracks "Time to Relax" which will make anybody feel good.Italic
Overall one of the best albums of the 1990's. If your into punk rock you should own this album.

Album Quote:

"Drivers are rude
Such attitudes
But when I show my piece
Complaints cease
Something's odd
I feel like I'm god
You stupid dumbshit goddamn motherfucker!"
