White Stripes - White Blood Cells

There are many albums from my youth that are much different than what I usually listen to and have reviewed on my blog. In 2002 as I was in the last leg of my college career the band The White Stripes hit it big with "White Blood Cells". A strangely different rock sound The White Stripes were very interesting to many. The first single "Fell in Love with a Girl" was all over rock radio. Their sound ranges from fast rock to folk to alternative. This album has influences of everyone from Bob Dylan to well its so different I don't even know who else to compare it to. Songs I really liked are "We're Going to Be Friends", "Dead Leaves..", "Hotel Yorba", "Same Boy You've Always Known", "This Protector"and "Finding it Harder to Be a Gentleman". If you love different music you might just love this album.

Album Quote:
"If you can hear a piano fall, you can hear me coming down the hall, if I could just hear your pretty voice I don't think I'd need to see at all"
