Aerosmith - Pump
Today's review will be on one of Aerosmith's biggest albums, "Pump". This late 80's early 90's release was one of the first cd's I ever bought. I loved it and still do. One of the first videos I ever saw on MTV was a track from this album called "The Other Side". The video did a great job of introducing me to the band from a perspective of showing what great performers these guys are and how much fun they are to watch. Since I'm on the subject of videos, probably one of the most interesting videos I've ever seen was for a song on this album called "Janies Got a Gun". A great song bringing up the tender subject of the reality of child abuse and child molestation. This is one of my more favorite songs because it just tells an interesting story and I think it was a good move by the band to bring up such a subject. Someone needed to bring up one of the bigger problems in this world even if many people didn't wanna hear about it. Other great tracks include a great ballad "What it Takes", the album opens with a great blues rock song called "Young Lust" and who can't forget the hit song "Love in an Elevator".
I definitly recommend this Aerosmith album it brings back many memories for me even all these years later.
