Nirvana-Nevermind

Ok back today to review a classic album of my youth, Nirvana's Nevermind. I can remember the very first time I saw the video for "SLTS". I though that it was so funny how they could name a song after teen spirit deoderant. The video was so different and the music was so different as well that I just knew I would love this band. At the time I thought they would be huge but only really as a cult type of group. Little did I know that this album would create a new chapter in music. If you watch a 'Behind the Music" of any 80's rock band, Nirvana and the grunge movement is blamed for their demise. I just always thought that was funny. I remember buying this album after it came out, I bought it at a Caldor store near my house. I remember going back to my grandma's that day & I opened the cover and the first thing you see is a pic of Kurt Cobain giving the finger. My uncle saw it also and he thought it was funny. This album is packed with great songs screaming with teenage rebellion, pain and the angst of life. I love tracks such as "Territorial Pissings", "Something in the way" and "Lithium". Of course the album features even more famous tracks such as "Smells like teen spirit" & "Come as you are". Just an album that truly reminds me of junior high and first getting into music. I can close my eyes and think back to the sitting in the school cafeteria talking about this band and album with some of my friends at that time.

Album Quote:

"I'm so horny thats ok cause so are you"
