Guns 'n' Roses - Use Your Illusion 1 and 2

Happy Holidays!!
In 1991 Guns 'n' Roses released 2 albums at the same time, "Use Your Illusion 1" and "Use Your Illusion 2". Both albums had lots of great GNR tracks that span from blues rock to straight up dirty rock 'n' roll. These albums spawned hit songs which are widely known for their amazing and strange videos like the epic "November Rain", "Don't Cry" (which has 2 different versions with different lyrics),"Estranged" and a great song which was used for the movie "Terminator 2" called "You Could Be Mine" (my most favorite GNR song). Other really great tracks these albums contain and some of which many don't know about are "Live & Let Die", "Shotgun Blues", "Get in the Ring", "14 Years", "Civil War", "Locomotive", "Coma", "Bad Obsession" and "Garden of Eden". Another very famous track is their great cover of the Bob Dylan classic "Knock'n on Heavens Door". All these songs bring back so much of my youth when I listen to them and I hope if you grew up with these records they do the same for you.

Stone Temple Pilots - Purple

In 1994, one of the biggest bands of the grunge era Stone Temple Pilots released the album "Purple". A melodic heavy dose of straight out rock this album really made this band who they are. The album is known for many songs that can still be heard on rock radio stations today. Songs like "Interstate Love Song". A great laid back song for just hanging around and doing nothing. "Vasoline" is another great and very popular song as well as "Big Empty" a ballad also found on the soundtrack to the movie "The Crow". Other great tracks are "Lounge Fly", "Pretty Penny", "Silvergun Superman" and "Unglued". Overall this album is a true staple of the grunge alternative era and most of it's tracks are still being discovered by young ears today thanks to rock radio.
