Skid Row - Slave to the Grind

You ever hear an album and it just beats the hell out of you?? Well this is one of'em. At the start of the 90's Skid Row released their second album "Slave to the Grind". This album absolutley kicks ass!! Every song on it screams ROCK!! The albums first single "Monkey Business" is awesome and will make you wanna head bang. I remember seeing them peform this song on SNL and they really tore it up. The album contains other kick'in rockers like "Slave to the Grind"," Get the F*** Out", "Mudkicker" and "Riot Act". Theres also a lot of great ballads that I really enjoy. A great one is "Wasted Time" which is about a young man whose friends watch his life falling apart. Another great and actually pretty amazing song is "Quicksand Jesus" which is sort of about troubled times in the world and asks the question "Why?". One other ballad which is also very good is "In a Darkened Room". Overall this album is one of those which will always keep you pumped and ready to take on the world. Its really one of my most favorites and I highly recommend this one.

Iron Maiden - Powerslave

In 1984 a remarkable band called Iron Maiden released the album "Powerslave". This is one of my top 2 favorite albums from this band. The guitar work is brilliant the lyrics are so powerful as they speak of things like war and almost every song is great. Some of my more favorite tracks are "2 Minutes to Midnite", "Powerslave" and "Aces High". I definitly think this is one of Maiden's best records and should be bought by all metal fans.

Slaughter - Stick It To Ya

This review is of an album from a band many people may forget about at times, Slaughter's "Stick It To Ya". Slaughter is a great band whose debut album had a lot of great songs and I think suprised many people. This record is mainly known for the hit song "Up All Night". The album features a lot other great hard rock'in songs such as "Mad About You", "Burn'in Bridges", "Spend My Life", "Loaded Gun", "Desperately" and an awesome ballad called "Fly to the Angels". This was one of a few bands that first got me into hard rock & heavy metal and I will never forget first seeing their videos on MTV more than 15 years ago.

What I know now
I'd tell you that the stories are true
Cause what ever you do
It comes back to you"
