Metallica-Metallica (The Black Album)

Today I will be reviewing an album by my all time favorite band...Metallica's The Black Album. This album was my first introduction to heavy metal, meaning bands harder than GNR and Poison. This album first peaked my interests when Metallica played "Enter Sandman" at the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards. It was one of the best performances in VMA history and just the coolest thing I had ever seen at that time.

Upon first buying this album I realized Metallica was a very powerful band. I remember hearing Track 2 "Sad But True" long before it was on MTV and just thinking wow what an awesome song. Every song that came out a s a single I fell in love with, "Nothing Else Matters", "Enter Sandman", "Wherever I May Roam" and "The Unforgiven". This album is packed straight through with great music. Great deep cuts from this album include "Holier Than Thou", "Of Wolf and Man", "My Friend of Misery" and "Through the Never". I've always loved this album. I know people who aren't into metal but like at least one song from this record. It still sells tons of copies today as it did 15 years ago. This is a major and I mean major album of my youth.
